Holiday Card Series Day 5 - Christmas Market | Light Up Frame ft. Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty Friends!

Today I am back for Day 5 of my Holiday Card Series! This time I made a bit of a different project. It was my sisters birthday yesterday and she absolutely loves Christmas Markets. Unfortunately due to Covid all the markets this year have been cancelled and she was super sad about it. So I thought as an extra little gift for her birthday I would try and make a little Christmas market for her!

If you would like to see how I made this frame just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut.

I ink blended the background using Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Ink. I added lots of splatters of white and gold paint as well as Liquid Stardust to give the effect of snow. I also added a little bit of Tumbled Glass on stamped hills.

I created cubes out of cardstock to act as spacers for my frame layers. I attached all my images to the two layers and used the cubes to space them out. Then I adhered the background to the second hill using the cubes as well. I then glued everything onto a strip of cardstock cut down to fit inside the frame and act as a base. I added white paint, shimmer pen and Stickles for added shine.

I attached the star LED light string to the top of the frame using regular tape. I added glitter to the inside of the frame and then added in my insert. I used hot glue to attach the back of the frame and used a strip of tape to attach the battery pack to the back of the frame.

I also added a little label to the top of the box to personalize it. I really hope you enjoyed this card. I had a so much fun making it!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

- Julia

Holiday Card Series Day 2 - Letters to Santa | Scene Card ft. Mama Elephant

Hello crafty Friends!

Today I am back for Day 2 of my Holiday Card Series! I made this cute little "Sending Letters to Santa" scene card with the Beary Christmas stamp set by Mama Elephant!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut.

I ink blended the background using Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide. Then I die cut the mailbox from Snail Mail out of light blue cardstock and ink blended it with Tumled Glass and Broken China. I added a strip of cardstock behind the mail slot and used Broken China and Chipped Sapphire for that. I added white splatters to the background and the mailbox. I die cut two hills and also the Winter Forest Cover twice. I sprayed it with shimmer spray for added shine. I also die cut the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Frames three times and layered them using liquid glue.

I adhered the Winter Forest Cover to the background. I added the scalloped frame to a 4x5 1/4" card base to make sure it doesn't show beyond the scalloping. I trimmed down the background and the hill panels and inlayed them into the scalloped frame opening. Then, I heat embossed the sentiment onto the mailbox in white and adhered the backing for the mail slot.

I adhered the mailbox using thin foam squares and the bears with regular foam squares. The enveloped from snail mail were adhered using liquid glue. To finish off the card I added Stardust Stickles to the images for a snowy look!

I really hope you enjoyed this one!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Holiday Card Series Day 1 - Mice on Ice | Interactive Shadow Box Card ft. Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty Friends!

I am so excited to kick off my 2020 Holiday Card Series today! For Day 1 I made this sweet little shadow box card with the adorable ice skating mice from Lawn Fawn!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut.

I die cut the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box die twice out of bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended both pieces on the in- and outside using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide. I added white splatters to the inside of the box pieces. I die cut two hills and the mountain add on and ink blended those with Shaded Lilac and Hickory Smoke. I added shimmer pen and Crystal Stickles to the images and let them dry before assembling the box.

I assembled the box using score tape and then I adhered all my images using liquid glue.
To finish the card I die cut a banner,  stamped my sentiment on top and adhered it to the back of the box.

I had so much fun making this card, so I hope you enjoy it as well!
